It was Doctors’ day. And we had launched our first film for Tanishq. Here it is:

Our storyline was straightforward: A little girl calls herself the mask police, and from her balcony, calls out to defaulters who don’t have their masks on. She distributes masks in brown paper bags.

At the end of the day, she gets 11 odd people to wear their masks correctly.
Of course, it’s tiring.

But her commitment to her self-appointed role as the ‘mask police’ has one reason. Her mom. Who also happens to be a doctor-frontliner.

For her mom’s sake, the lil girl wants people to stay safe, so that they don’t end up at the hospital, leading to yet another long night for her mother.

A week after our film was released, a real life mask-police emerged on the streets of Dharamshala — four-year-old Amit.

“Mask kidhar hai?” he asked tourists, with steely determination. (Watch the reel here)

And in that moment, we knew that Amit deserved to receive his medal too.

Over the next few hours, we contacted @dharamshalalocal on Instagram — the page that discovered Amit.

Several missed calls later, we finally connected. We then learnt that Amit was a balloon seller, and had four little brothers.

@dharamshalalocal shared their office address and was in on our plan to surprise Amit.

Onto our shopping spree — we put together a care package for little Amit with all of his favourite things (thank you, James!). A note of appreciation from Tanishq and of course, his well-earned medal.

8 days passed.

And here we have the real mask police, with a medal of honour.

All in all, rewarding pure intentions.
