My (Virtual) Internship Journey
A letter to us on the completion of Interns from Home by Ridhi Verma, Intern
Sitting on the couch and scrolling through LinkedIn, found the post for Interns from Home. I instantly had the urge to apply.
I got to know about Dentsu Webchutney from one of my relatives and honestly when I heard the word ‘chutney’, first thing that came in my mind was “Why would a company have a name like that?”, because of this fascinating name, I looked their website and instantly fell in love! So much learning and fun at the same place. I thought “Is it even possible to have fun while you are working?” The answer is YES! When it comes to Dentsu Webchutney, there is fun, learning and knowledge in everything.
Where all the other companies look at you resume and reject/select on the basis of just one sheet, Webchutney had other thoughts. They did not see whether you came from a fancy school/college, whether you had an advertising degree or not, whether you had 4+ GPA or not because they don’t see resumes! #PauseTheResume where you literally put a pause on your resume and send your browser history instead! They have touched the skies of being cool.
Coming back to Interns from Home, the form in itself was so appealing. It had questions like “What was the last thing that you saw/read that surprised you?”, “Send a one-minute video!”. If you know nothing about this company and you are reading this article, by now you would have guessed the level of coolness and awesomeness that these people have!
This internship of 4 weeks has been nothing but full of excitement, learning, enthusiasm, reading lots of articles on advertising and otherwise, discussing on various topics, sharing playlists, sending good morning messages, screenings and sessions with the most amazing people.
With all other 49 amazing interns from home, this internship has a little part of me. A part that has grown by reading articles, learning old things in new ways, discovering something new every day. Our mentors are the most amazing and super duper enthusiastic humans. Thank you so much for making this happen and give us a little piece of Dentsu Webchutney! Waiting to ditch the virtual life and wish to meet you guys in reality!
